The Freedom Home
AARP has joined with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in establishing an award program - the Livable Communities Awards.
The Award Program is designed to recognize Builders, Remodelers, and Developers for their home construction, particularly universal design homes and accessible homes. These are some of the areas of home design the Livable Communites Awards are focused on.
- Accessibility features in home design
- Home design elements that improve daily comfort
- Home design features that incorporate ease of use
- Home design features that incorporate safety
- Homes constructed that are usable by all ages and all abilities.
